Disappearing Act

I pulled another vanishing act this past month or so.

Due to personal life struggles, I decided to take a break from… well, everything. I packed a bag and went away for two weeks, ignoring all social media so I could focus on myself for a while.

It was much needed and properly enjoyed, but I’ve been a bit slow getting back to it. I’ve slowly been making more and more efforts to come back into my social media – mostly just reblogging posts, but being active nonetheless. My blog, sadly, remained desolate for the longest period of time and I wanted to apologize for abandoning my readers. I know I don’t technically owe you anything, but all my readers mean so much to me, and I try my best to be as interactive as I can. I’ve certainly lost a chunk of twitter followers in my absence.

I’ll hopefully get back to posting regular blog updates – thankfully I had a few queued posts lined up (I believe another reading challenge went up in my absence). No promises though. Uni is incredibly stressful right now and I’m questioning all of my life decisions as I spend day after day stressing out over a short story that I can’t seem to write, which is now over due. I don’t know what I’m going to do, but hopefully I’ll pull through or find some kind of solution… hopefully…

Unfortunately, I also haven’t been getting any writing done. I’ve at least been reading, but my poor manuscripts have been left to gather metaphorical dust. I can’t even remember the last time I wrote something for Demon’s Run – and I’m almost certain it was more recent than the last time I worked on Tiger’s Eye. Go me!
But seriously, my goal of finishing Tiger’s Eye by year’s end seems less and less likely… I’m not even that far from the finish line, but life is just so hectic right now.

But it’s not all bad news! I actually went about making a tumblr platform devoted purely to my professional writing persona. I wasn’t originally going to, but more and more I decided some of the content from my main tumblr may not represent me as a professional, and perhaps people are interested only in my writing and not my personality haha. So you can now find me at https://aceparksthewriter.tumblr.com/

Anyway, that’s enough ranting, I can relax now that I’ve updated my blog… and turn my attention to this god forsaken short story.

Wish me luck!
