I know. I know.

I already have plenty of projects on the books. Why in gods name would I start another? You ask good questions.

The short answer is, it’s for my audience. This year I intend to write a series that I do NOT intend to eventually publish and sell, so that I can post it publicly as I go on Wattpad and hopefully draw a larger audience to my work. Essentially, it’s all a cunning plan for social networking haha.

So, without further ado:

Introducing the Cardinal Sins series:

  • Ira (Wrath)
  • Acedia (Sloth)
  • Avaritia (Greed)
  • Gula (Gluttony)
  • Luxuria (lust)
  • Invidia (Jealousy)
  • Superbia (Pride)

(although… not necessarily in that order…)

Featuring Vampires, this New Adult series combines different vampire folklore with an exploration of sinful pleasures.
We follow Nickie Coleman as she’s dropped into vampire education years after she was supposed to begin. Struggling to manage PTSD, her studies, and an ever-present addiction, she’s struggling to learn how to lead the normal life she’s expected to live. Unfortunately for Nickie, the civilized world of vampires turns out to be just as dangerous as the enslavement she left behind.

The first in this series is Luxuria:

I’m not yet happy with the blurb I’ve written, but here’s what I’ve got so far:

Nickie Coleman’s only eighteen years old, but she’s lived a hard life so far. Abducted at 14, Nickie spent the last four years a prisoner of her cannibalistic vampire counterpart, the Stryx, and a slave to her addiction.
When a raiding party frees Nickie from The Den, she’s plopped into a vampire reform school for re-education.
Nickie struggles to keep her head down and her secrets hidden, but she faces temptation that threatens to expose her at every turn. When the rebellious Leo comes into the picture, Nickie quickly finds herself in a compromising situation as they strike an arrangement that puts her new-found ‘freedoms’ at risk.

But at Haven, students have started to go missing.
Rumours are whispered through the halls and accusations fly as the weeks crawl by but no answers can be found.
Nickie just wants to learn how to live a normal life, but it seems fate has other plans in store.

I know a lot of people are sick to death of vampires, but I still adore them and I’ve actually had this concept (admittedly, I’ve wildly adapted it at this point) on file for a while now. I’m hoping I’m not the only one.

So, if this sounds at all interesting to you, head over and follow my Wattpad account to stay up to date!
